Healthy Imports Ltd China import wet blue leather from the most well established tanneries in Scotland and the UK. We import wet salted hides from South America, Africa, The Middle East and Europe. We also have a facility in Vietnam where we can chrome tan the wet salted hides before importing to China. We can also supply any kind of finished leather in any colour, suitable for furniture, marine upholstery and the fashion industry.

Wet blue is the process of converting skins and raw hides to tanned leather using chromium salts.The hide becomes blue when chromium salts are added. The hide is free of hair and it is tanned. Shoes, leather, garments and upholstery can be produced.
Once a cow dies, the skin is removed. It is then selected in the raw state, at the very first moment when it is salted. Later in the tannery, a traditional hair on hide tanning method is engaged to ensure that the hide is soft, and less susceptible to moulting and bad odours..
